Required notices

The notices each publisher requires, or that we carry by choice, copied from their source on 2026-10-02. The site footer combines them for hiddentoken.com. Each game's section says where else its notice goes. The reasons are in publisher rules.

Copy the notice text exactly as shown here. Don't fix the publishers' grammar, and don't shorten any notice. Pending legal review.

Star Citizen

Required by CIG on every fan site, org domain, blog or social page. The notice must be "open, obvious, and can be readily seen by any visitor". It must never be smaller than other notices or tucked away. The page must also link to the official site.

This is an unofficial Star Citizen fan site, not affiliated with the Cloud Imperium group of companies. All content on this site not authored by its host or users are property of their respective owners.

When showing RSI content or marks, also include the trademark notice from the Fan Kit. The line below is read from the example image in CIG's FAQ. The Fan Kit's own text sits behind an RSI login and hasn't been compared (unverified):

Star Citizen®, Roberts Space Industries® and Cloud Imperium® are registered trademarks of Cloud Imperium Rights LLC

Where it goes:

Sea of Thieves

Required by Microsoft wherever Sea of Thieves content (images, video, music, art) is shared. It goes "anywhere else that makes sense so long as anyone who sees your Item will easily find this notice". It must sit next to a link to the Game Content Usage Rules. The template, verbatim:

[Name of the Microsoft Game] © Microsoft Corporation. [The title of your Item] was created under Microsoft's "Game Content Usage Rules" using assets from [Name of the Microsoft Game], and it is not endorsed by or affiliated with Microsoft.

Filled in for HTG:

Sea of Thieves © Microsoft Corporation. The Hidden Token Gaming website was created under Microsoft's "Game Content Usage Rules" using assets from Sea of Thieves, and it is not endorsed by or affiliated with Microsoft.

Microsoft's trademark guidelines also recommend a trademark footnote:

Microsoft, Sea of Thieves and Xbox are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS

Required "in any materials that display the Trademark", unless PUBG says otherwise in writing. Any other PUBG trademarks used must be added to the notice.

PUBG, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS and all related logos are trademarks of PUBG Corporation or its affiliates.

The required text still names PUBG Corporation, although the game is now published by KRAFTON, Inc. We copy the text as written and don't update it ourselves.

Where it goes:

Source: PUBG Developer API Terms, "PUBG Community Qualification and Trademark Guidelines", Content and Use Guidelines item 8.

Counter-Strike 2 and Steam

Not required. Valve publishes no notice rule for fan sites or community servers. We attribute Valve's marks anyway, using the wording from Valve's own counter-strike.net footer, without its copyright year:

Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike 2, CS:GO, and their respective logos are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation.

If the site uses Steam sign-in or Steam data, it adds the following line, from Valve's Steam Web API terms:

Valve, Steam, the Valve logo and the Steam logo are registered trademarks of Valve Corporation.

That use also carries two duties from the same terms. The site must never imply a relationship with Valve beyond "has implemented the Steam Web API". It must also have a privacy policy covering Steam data (handbook#5).

Where it goes:

Sources: counter-strike.net footer; Steam Web API Terms of Use §3, §5, §9.

WARDOGS

Not required. Bulkhead and Team17 publish no fan-content policy or notice. The EULA forbids suggesting any affiliation or endorsement, which the general line in the site footer covers.

Source: WARDOGS EULA, §4.4(b).

The footer for hiddentoken.com, ready to use. Every line uses the same type size, because CIG's rule forbids showing its notice smaller than the others. Keep the links.

Hidden Token Gaming is an independent fan community. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Bulkhead, Team17, Microsoft, Rare, Cloud Imperium Games or KRAFTON.
